Construction
The ground penetrating radar work has been performed. The scrubbing and clearing of the site has also been completed by our wonderful Leadville local team. They spent two 10 hour days helping to clear the site…we owe them a debt of gratitude. The soil was donated by the Lake County City and County department. Almost 2,000 cubic feet soil has been moved and the mound that will be the foundation for the sculpture has been formed.
Kathleen Fitzsimmons was streaming live on Facebook from the site of the memorial while the foundational work was taking place.
