Memorial Ribbon Cutting – Saturday 10am – 2pm, Evergreen Cemetery

Join the Irish Network of Colorado for the official ribbon cutting of the Leadville Irish Miners Memorial – In memory of the over 1100 Irish immigrants buried in unmarked graves – a symbol of their humanity, their lives and their struggles, in hope that their stories might continue. The event at the cemetery will include remarks from dignitaries, reading of the names, and the unveiling. If you like you can then move on to see the St. Patrick’s Day practice parade at 3pm.

Leadville’s East Side Driving Tour – Friday 5pm – 6:30pm

Leadville’s East Side Driving Tour with local experts Kathleen Fitzsimmons, Bill Harrington and Dennis Hasty is a geology and living history tour of Leadville’s historic mines. Those interested should meet at the Delaware Hotel lobby.  High clearance vehicles are recommended with limited carpooling available.

Evening Grand Finale at the Tabor Opera House – Saturday 7pm – 10pm, 308 Harrison Avenue

“From Cork to Colorado” entertainment on stage to include Allihies delegation, local Leadville students, storytelling, music, dance, and cash bar.

Cost: $25 – Tickets can be purchased through the Tabor Opera House.
